Inspired by Birds
Inspired by Birds is an ongoing sculptural project exploring avian forms as expressions of perception, intelligence, and presence. Rather than naturalistic depiction, the works focus on posture, rhythm, and silhouette — moments in which birds hold space, observe, and assert quiet authority.
Through simplified geometry and restrained form, birds are approached as archetypal figures: watchers, messengers, and custodians. Stillness remains central to the project, allowing balance, mass, and negative space to define each sculpture. These grounded moments invite contemplation, emphasizing awareness over movement.
Alongside this stillness, selected works explore flight as gesture rather than description. Here, movement is reduced to arc, rhythm, and transition — moments suspended between ground and sky. Wings are suggested rather than explained, and motion is held within structure, allowing form to carry meaning without spectacle or narrative illustration.
